Oh my god. It's been over a year since I last blogged about Ryan McDermott, due mainly to the fact that he hasn't released anything. But the wait was clearly worth while as it's now be revealed that he's signed to the G.O.O.D music clan, SICK!, and he's just uploaded a new track for us which is amazeballs. Win win!
Christmas come early. I've been waiting for a tune from this guy for TIMEEEEE and look here it is in all it's lovely glory. Charlie Brown featuring Yungen and Ms D, obviously it's a good song but what I particularly like about it is that everyone stands on their own as different entities. SOLID.
Some new British Talent for yoooooooooou. I got told about this guy last week and ever since I've been very excited for what's to come from him. Rossi Riko he goes by the name of, he sings, raps and isn't bad to look at as well (that always helps!). All his youtube stuff is very very cool, he has a very much rough around the edges swag, like this kind of effortless, ermmmm, what's the word I'm looking for, an effortless persona about him, like his music very much comes naturally. He kind of has two sides as well, the 'Dope' 'Shoreditch swag' rap style then the kind of sweet guy side of him singing and playing the piano - a potential lethal combination me thinks. Exciting times ahead!! *Salute*
Holy crap this is sick. Etta Bond and Raf Riley seem to be able to do no wrong! In fact, their music is so wrong that it's almost right. Those two sentences don't make any sense together. Who cares, listen to the tune, that all we really care about anyway. :)
If you guys have been reading my blog for a long time then you know that I am obsessed with Phlo Finister's tunes so when this popped up today I jumped for joy of course! This is taken from her new EP Poster Girl. BRING IT ON!
A beautiful track and video from Josephine. I find tracks like these to be very timeless so when I look back on my blog in the next few years I'll still enjoy this track as much as when I first heard it today.
Rainy Milo just uploaded her first mixtape. Shweet! All the tracks have that very cool mysterious-ness about them, not giving to much away but giving enough for now. The vocals are pretty sexy, production is pretty mellow, it's got that slow funk element. As a whole it's a nice piece of work but not the half of what I think is to come from Miss Milo. Don't Regret Me in particular is a great track. Let the growth and journey continue.....
I've been blogging about GT Solo for a while now and with every video it's great to see him go from strength to strength and generally keep the movement moving. This track is really cool, it's always great to re-work a classic.
FINALLY OH MY GOD. I've been waiting for some material from this guy to blog for ageeeeeeeeeeeeees and now it's finally here. Introducing the lovely, wonderful and ever so talented Jacob Banks. Think Natty mixed with Otis Redding when you listen to him - such great British soul from such a young chap. Very exciting times ahead. :)
